There’s never a shortage of things to do in Javea, whether you’re into museums, beaches or historical sites. One of the best things to lay your eyes on though, is, well, all of it. Javea is home to many places that boast incredible views of the entire city, and taking one of the many opportunities to see the vast town in its entirety is a great way to spend your time.

The best way to see all this beauty at a glance is to go up to one of the fantastic viewing points on the mountains around the city, or at the top of its most iconic buildings. Come and discover a bird’s-eye view of Javea. Below we have listed the best viewpoints in Javea.
Viewpoint Cap de Sant Antoni
Located on what is known to many to be the ‘trunk’ of Mt Montgo, Cap de Sant Antoni has a whole host of beautiful viewpoints, allowing one to gaze out upon Jávea in its entirety. The phenomenal panoramic views truly are a sight to behold!
Cap de Sant Antoni – The best parking area for Cap San Antonio is located just over 9km NorthWest of the Arenal Beach.
Head southwest on the ‘Avenida Arenal’ and take the 1st exit on the roundabout joining ‘Ctra. del Cap de la Nau Pla’, then take the 2nd exit on the following roundabout and continue straight. At the next roundabout, you will once again take the 2nd exit and follow the road until you reach the next roundabout, where you will take the 2nd exit. Take the 2nd exit at the following 2 roundabouts, followed by the 1st exit on the next one. Follow ‘Avinguda del Trenc d’Alba’ to the next roundabout, where you will take the 1st exit and follow the road as it turns right after just over 100m, becoming ‘Ronda Sud’.
The road will bear left becoming ‘C. Trinquete’ and then left once again becoming ‘Calle Rda. Nte’, where you should then take the following right joining ‘Carrer de la Mare de Déu dels Ángels’. Continue until you reach the roundabout taking the 1st exit to join ‘Ctra de Denia’ or the ‘CV-736’. After just under 2km, the road will fork into 2. You should take the right hand road. Continue on the road for just under 3.5km and you will have arrived at your destination!

Viewpoint Punta de l’Arenal
Located at the South end of the Arenal beach, the ‘Punta de l’Arenal’ is an observation area that has a marvellous view of the Arenal, Mt Montgo and the sea. This view is especially beautiful in the transition between day and when the fairy lights above the Arenal sparkle amongst the palm trees!

Head NorthEast on the ‘Av Arenal’ and take the 31st exit at the roundabout joining ‘Av. de la Llibertat’. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit and continue straight. After 250m the road will bear round to the right, it is at this point that you should take the left hand turn and continue until the road comes to an end. At which point you have arrived!

Viewpoint Creu del Portitxol
Located up above Portitxol beach, this viewpoint stares out into the seemingly never ending sea as well as the ‘Isla del Portitxol’. This calming spot is also the start of a pathway that leads down to the beach itself.
Creu del Portitxol – Located just over 200m West of the Arenal beachfront. To get there from the Arenal area one must…
Head NorthEast on the ‘Avenida Arenal’ and take the 1st exit on the roundabout joining ‘Avenida de la Libertad’, follow the road until you reach the next roundabout where you will take the second exit and continue straight. Follow the road around to the right as it becomes ‘Av. de la Libertat’ and continue straight until you reach the end and turn left to join the ‘Ctra. del Portitxol’. Follow the road as it weaves back and forth for just over 2km until you see a large stone cross on your left hand side, known as the ‘Creu del Portitxol’. At which point, look for a suitable parking space, as you have arrived!

Mirador de la Falzia
This viewpoint is located slightly further down the coast, high above yet another beach, this time ‘La Barraca’. Again with views of the ‘Isla del Portitxol’ and out across the sea.

Head SouthWest on the ‘Avenida Arenal’ and take the 3rd exit on the roundabout joining ‘Ctra. del Cap de la Nau Pla’, then take the 3rd exit on the following roundabout and continue straight. At the end of the road there will be another roundabout, you will once again take the 3rd exit and follow the road until you reach the fourth roundabout, where you will take the 1st exit. Follow ‘Carr. de la Guardia’ all the way up the hill as the road name changes to ‘Carrer del Trencall’. At the end of the road turn left and then immediately right joining ‘Carrer Rascassa’. You should then take your first right hand turn joining ‘C. Pagre’. Follow this road until you reach its end, at which point the viewpoint is just a short walk through the foliage in front of you!

Viewpoint Cap Negre
Many visitors agree that ‘Cap Negre’ supplies some of the most spectacular views in the whole of Jávea. The view boasts all of the previously mentioned lookout points such as the ‘Cap de Sant Antoni’, ‘Cap Prim’, the ‘Isla del Portitxol’, Mt Montgo and Barraca beach, all rolled into one breathtaking spectacle!

Head southwest on the ‘Avenida Arenal’ and take the 3rd exit on the roundabout joining ‘Ctra. del Cap de la Nau Pla’, then take the 3rd exit on the following roundabout and continue straight. At the end of the road there will be another roundabout, you will once again take the 3rd exit and follow the road until you reach the 4th roundabout, where you will take the first exit. Follow ‘Carr. de la Guardia’ all the way up the hill as the road name changes to ‘Carrer del Trencall’. At the end of the road turn right and join the ‘Carrer Cabo la Nao’ and follow the road for just over 1km, at which point you will see the entry to ‘Balcon al Mar’ on your left hand side. Turn left up the hill and follow the road. At the roundabout on the other side of the hill take the 2nd exit and continue to the end of the road. Park up and complete the short walk down the pathway for some truly breathtaking views!

At the end of the road there will be another roundabout, you will once again take the 3rd exit and follow the road until you reach the 4th roundabout, where you will take the first exit. Follow ‘Carr. de la Guardia’ all the way up the hill as the road name changes to ‘Carrer del Trencall’. At the end of the road turn right and join the ‘Carrer Cabo la Nao’ and follow the road for 2.5km, at which point you will see the lighthouse. This means you have reached your destination!

Mirador Ambolo
The Ambolo viewpoint sits above and to the South of Ambolo beach, with spectacular views of the sea and neighbouringing coastline. To the South of the viewpoint are astounding views of the Morro del Pino and the surrounding coves. The beauty of the view from atop Ambolo cannot be overstated! Try timing your visit with a pink skied sunset… you will not regret it!

Follow ‘Carr. de la Guardia’ all the way up the hill as the road name changes to ‘Carrer del Trencall’. At the end of the road turn right and join the ‘Carrer Cabo la Nao’ and follow the road for 1.5km, at which point you will see a sign for ‘Mirador Ambolo’, you should take this right hand turn. Stay right and follow the round to its end, where you will arrive at the Ambolo viewpoint!
